After a decade it's finally: LIFT OFF! A decade of preparation, of obstacles and setbacks to eventually start the final journey. What began ten years ago and took us to the bottom of the sea, now ends in infinite space.

Vol. 2 - Space Exploration leads you to fantastic worlds. Explore the final frontiers of the imagination, like Jules Verne and George Méliès once did. Embark on an endless journey to the stars. Beyond our galaxy we may encounter astronaut Bowman from Stanley Kubrick's „2001: A Space Odyssey“. Perhaps we also meet Flash Gordon, Zarkov and Dale Arden - or even Doctor Who!

This album was inspired by the real world, too. It all started with humanity's departure into space through the NASA Apollo programme back in the 60s. The scientific findings and countless media following afterwards fueled the imagination of generations of artists. Publications such as Miroslav Sasek's „This Is Our Way To The Moon“ or Herges „Destination Moon“ and „Explorers On The Moon“ had an huge influence on this album, as well as formats like the german TV programme „Space Night“ with Professor Harald Lesch. Or just simply observing the starry sky at night!

Musically, this album was influenced by a number of great artists such as Air („Moon Safari“), Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Queen („Flash Gordon Soundtrack“), Pink Floyd, Sven Libaek („Solar Flares“), Daft Punk or the french band Space („Magic Fly“). All this brilliant sounds paved the way for this recording.

And all of this now comes to fruition on "Vol. 2 - Space Exploration" and I hope we will experience a wonderful journey together. Just relax yourself and disconnect from reality for a short while. And always remember:
Time is relative and the force of our imagination endless like the Universe...
